Workout routines can get pretty boring, and doing the same thing over and over becomes too repetitive for your body – your muscles get accustomed to the workout, and over time it becomes less and less beneficial. This week, with a little help from BuzzFeed’s Mackenzie and Chris, we’re mixing it up with some one-song-long workouts, keeping us singing and moving along with Macklemore’s ‘Can’t Hold Us.’

Positives: Obviously the song choice is a major win. Since it’s one most people know fairly well, it’s easy to sing along a little bit, which is great for those of us who have issues with breathing during exercises. I also loved that the moves were constantly changing and never repetitive throughout the song.
Negatives: If you’re not a big fan of the song, it can be a pain. Also I found that it was hard to time everything since there wasn’t a clear defining point of when to switch. I guess I did things a little quick (which maybe meant I did them wrong?) because I ended a little before the song did.
Reaction: I also felt like I definitely wanted to do more after, but it would be great for when I only have a little bit of time. Other than that, I loved having a specific song/time set for my workout. The song keeps you moving since it’s so upbeat!
Overall: I’d give this a 7/10. This workout is a nice, quick way to get yourself moving. The music is great, and there are also several other one-song workouts, which allowed me to find something I was comfortable with in terms of the moves I would be doing, and which songs I liked.
